KDSG invites applications for CBN-Accelerated Agricultural Development Scheme (AADS).
The Kaduna State Government hereby invites interested youths to apply for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)-Accelerated Agricultural Development Scheme (AADS).
The scheme will be implemented in collaboration between the CBN and the 36 state governments and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The aim of the programme is the promotion of national food security through sustained agricultural production, job creation in the agricultural sector, which will provide employment for about 10,000 youths in each of the 36 states and the FCT along the agriculture value chain, and achieve economic diversification.
States government will provide land, infrastructure and training to participants while the CBN will provide funding for the programme. Kaduna state government is selected to participate in poultry, rice and sorghum value chains.
Interested participants should send their applications addressed to:
The Chairman, Project Monitoring Team of AADS, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, State Secretariat, Kaduna.
Participants must be youths between the ages of 18 and 35 years and willing to develop their livelihood in agriculture. They should provide a functional bank account with a valid Bank Verification Number (BVN) and a phone number.
Membership of a registered society is also required. Only those not currently benefiting from similar programmes at the state and federal levels are eligible to apply.
Completed applications should be submitted to the office of the Honourable Commissioner, Agriculture and Forestry, State Secretariat, Kaduna, on or before 15th of December 2017.
